Timbaland Going On Tour :
 Timbaland has just announced plans to go on a promotional tour for his latest album, Shock Value II. Tim released the album earlier this month which features appearances from Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, Nelly Furtado and Katy Perry.
Timbaland's three week stint will begin on January 15th in his home state of Virginia and wrap up February 3rd in Dallas, Texas. In all, the super producer will make stops in U.S. 12 cities.
Earlier this week, Timbaland made another promotional stop in Los Angeles where he gave a free concert and signed autographs at Universal City's Hard Rock Cafe. While there, he also invited special guests Brandy, JoJo and Hayes to the stage.

Timbaland To Hit Intimate Venues In 2010 Tour :
Timbaland has announced that he will hit the road in January for a tour of small, intimate venues to support his most recent release, Shock Value II.
 The run is set to kick of on January 15 at the NorVa in Norfolk, Virginia, and run through February 3 at the House of Blues in Houston. Shock Value II debuted at No. 36 on the Billboard 200 chart earlier this month, selling 40,000 copies in its first week.
The tour announcement comes at a transitional point for the producer, who recently stated that he is "done with hip hop."
In a recent interview with MTV, Timbaland explained that he was "done with hip-hop a long time ago." He added that now, an average Timbaland fan is "not a person who loves mostly Hip Hop. It's a person who loves everything besides Hip Hop."
He went on to say that if the second edition of the Shock Value series is as successful as the first, he may do a third edition for free.

 Although Timbaland's decided to turn his back on Hip-Hop, the Grammy award winning producer is still preparing to hit the road for a 13 city tour.
As previously reported, Timbo confirmed in an interview that he was “off that" Hip-Hop production lane and delving deeper into pop records. Now with his Shock Value II album in stores, he's taking his pop enthused show on the road.
Starting on January 15, he'll kick off his tour in Norfolk, Virginia. The tour will unfold till February 2 when it wraps up in Dallas, Texas.

Timbaland Kicks Off 2010 With A Tour :
Grammy Award Winning producer Timbaland will kick off 2010 with a North American tour to support his new "Shock Value II" album. [Timbaland Tour Details Here] According to Live Daily, Timbaland's tour will kick off in his home state of Virginia on January 15th before hitting over a dozen spots and wrapping up in Dallas, Texas on February 3rd at the House of Blues.
 Previously Timbaland announced that he was done with hip-hop. Timbaland says "If this album does as semi-well as the last one, I'm done. I'm not going through the stress no more. I will do it for my fans and give it away for free." Timbaland finished by adding... "I was done with hip-hop a long time ago," he said. "Once my generation left, I left. I do it, but there's nobody from my generation besides Jay who's doing it. I look at Lil Wayne as being from my generation. Some people are still acceptable. Kanye is acceptable from my generation."

Timbaland tour showcases 'Shock Value' with new 2010 concert dates :
Acclaimed hit-maker Timbaland made a name for himself in the music industry for his work behind the scenes, producing for artists like Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z and Madonna. But in the New Year, he'll be hitting stages across North America with a tour of his own.
Over the course of three weeks, Timbaland will showcase his latest solo material in a dozen U.S. cities and one Canadian market. The early year trek kicks off January 15 at the NorVa in Norfolk, VA, and concludes February 3 at the House of Blues in Dallas, TX.
Other scheduled stops on the club tour include January 20 at the Fillmore in New York, NY; January 24 at the House of Blues in Chicago, IL; and January 29 at the House of Blues in West Hollywood, CA. The single gig north of the border is set for January 22 at Sound Academy in Toronto, ON.
 The first ticket onsales for the tour began on Friday, December 18. Face values vary depending on the venue, with some prices as low as $23 for general admission tickets. However, most venues seem to be in the $32 to $47 range for Timbaland tickets.
Timbaland is supporting his third solo studio album, "Shock Value II," which dropped on December 8.
The effort debuted on the most recent Billboard 200 chart in the No. 36 position, a slide from the No. 5 peak of 2007's "Shock Value." Despite his ability to churn out No. 1 hits for other artists, Timbaland's personal performance on the charts has only been about average over the course of his solo career.
The producer, rapper and musician toured most recently with Chris Cornell, former frontman for Soundgarden and Audioslave. The pair worked together on Cornell's most recent solo effort "Scream" and completed about 10 promotional performances for its release.

 Hip-hop sensation Timbaland has unveiled a three-week run of major-market clubs as he supports his just-released album, "Shock Value II."
The Virginia-born rapper/producer will begin the new road trip with a Jan.15 performance in Norfolk, VA, stopping by intimate venues in 12 cities nationwide through early February. The current schedule concludes with a Feb. 3 show in Dallas.
Timbaland dropped his third solo set, "Shock Value II," earlier this month. The album, which peaked at No. 36 on The Billboard 200, features guest vocals from Justin Timberlake, Miley Cyrus, Nelly Furtado and Katy Perry, among others.
Several tracks from the new effort are currently streaming at the performer's MySpace page.

Timbaland ascended to the top of the rap industry in the late '90s, impressively balancing his in-demand hitmaking abilities with his outlandish production style. Few rap producers were capable of such a balance between commerce and craft. Timbaland produced an endless list of hits, primarily for a select group of affiliates (Missy Elliott, Aaliyah, Jay-Z, Ginuwine) though also for a number of other A-list artists (Ludacris, Snoop Dogg, Nas, Justin Timberlake). Even so, he always infused a remarkable sense of individuality and creativity into his productions. When you hear a Timbaland production generally there is no mistaking it for anyone else's work: stuttering bass-heavy bounce  beats offset resounding high-end synth stabs, all of this often complemented by his own signature-like quiet murmuring beneath the track; and no sampling. However, over time Timbaland began taking an increasingly assembly-line approach to production, working with a team of co-producers and songwriters including Nathaniel "Danjahandz" Hills, the Clutch, and Justin Timberlake. Plus, he began producing an increasingly wide array of acts, ranging from alternative icons Björk and M.I.A. to MOR pop/rockers the Fray and Ashlee Simpson.
In the late '90s, when Timbaland was still relatively new on the scene, the Virginia native worked extensively with Missy ("The Rain"), Aaliyah ("If Your Girl Only Knew"), and Ginuwine ("Pony"). Timbaland has rapidly established himself as one of the hottest producers of the 90s thanks to his highly acclaimed work with hip-hop and R&B artists including Aaliyah, Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott and Ginuwine. Since the late 80s he has worked on and off with rapper Magoo, a fellow Virginian. Timbaland's concerted efforts to break into the music business bore its first fruits on Jodeci's Diary Of A Mad Band and The Show, The After-Party, The Hotel, co-writing the latter's "Bring On Da Funk". His real breakthrough came in autumn 1996, when he worked on Aaliyah's One In A Million, the follow-up to her R. Kelly -produced debut.
